The demolition of The Canon Theatre (originally the Hitching Post) along with the Beverly Theater (Taj Mahal-inspired movie palace opened in 1925, became Fiorucci boutique and featured in the film Xanadu...last incarnation as a bank!) took place in early September, 2005.
